The emergence of a New Earth has been subtly unfolding for several decades, marked by the gradual dissolution of old energy patterns and structures that no longer serve humanity. The old regime is steadily giving way to new and improved evolutionary energies that are paving the way for a new age of conscious human evolution and an elevated time-space reality.
This global spiritual awakening and collective energy upgrade is popularly known as the process of “Ascension” or “The Shift” and has been accelerating in recent years. Ascension is unfolding as a profound journey of personal and collective enlightenment that weaves together spiritual growth and a harmonious raising of Earth’s vibrational frequency.
This transformative process is a shift in consciousness to higher states of awareness, fostering an interconnected relationship between individual transformation and the evolution of the planet’s energy. Embracing Ascension means embracing a sense of oneness with all beings and recognizing the intrinsic connection between personal awakening, global enlightenment, and a sustainable planetary environment. It invites us to elevate ourselves as a species by establishing a higher level of consciousness.
The concept of a “New Earth” is central to the collective shift in consciousness and current transformative phase in human evolution. The New Earth is a place of higher vibrational frequency, harmony, peace, and unity, where humanity will increasingly live in greater alignment with higher spiritual principles. The New Earth energy is a global rebirth rooted in spiritual expansion. It invites us to shed limiting beliefs and outdated patterns, paving the way for a higher understanding of our existence. As we ascend, we align ourselves with the uplifting energies of the New Earth, contributing not only to our own growth, but also to the upliftment of the collective consciousness.
Embracing the energy of the New Earth is not only a path of profound personal transformation and awakening. The planetary aspect of Ascension emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life forms and the role each individual plays in co-creating a harmonious Earth. With a spiritual upgrade in our consciousness comes a greater level of personal responsibility and accountability. The ascension process not only calls us to delve into the depths of our spiritual essence and connect with the higher vibrations that permeate our world, but it also compels us to recognize the interconnectedness of our own spiritual ascension with our role as stewards of the New Earth.
The growing environmental crises we have witnessed globally in recent years underscore the urgency of practicing better stewardship of our planet. The global energetic shift and spiritual awakening are intertwined with our responsibility to protect and preserve the Earth for future generations.
In 2020, a phone call from a dear friend made me realize once again how close to home this crisis really is. She was calling from beautiful California, where several wildfires were raging across the state, fueled by the annual Santa Ana winds. I asked her how she was doing during the season of high winds and smoke, and her shocking response was that life was “normal as usual” and that “nothing out of the ordinary” was happening.
Having experiences a few wildfires, earthquakes, and storms myself, I was amazed that my friend seemed so unfazed by the current threats. But then I remembered the refrain my dear mother often repeated, that prayer or positive thoughts require a corresponding, uplifting action. Before ending my conversation with my friend, I felt guided to carefully coach her to be prepared to protect herself and her family in the face of developments beyond her control – especially from that deep spiritual center from which she draws her life’s energy and direction.
I am glad I did, because she took the necessary precautions just in time. The 2020 California wildfire season, part of the 2020 wildfire season in the western United States, soon became a record-breaking year for wildfires in California. Nearly 10,000 fires burned more than 4% of the state’s approximately 100 million acres that year, making 2020 the largest wildfire season, or “gigafire,” in California’s modern history. The intensity of this fire season has been attributed to a combination of more than a century of poor forest management and higher temperatures due to climate change.
Today, I am relieved and happy to confirm that my friend and her family are healthy and safe. However, the event reminded me of our personal responsibility and the need for our own accountability. Spiritually speaking, we all have the right to be safe in the face of major natural events or unexpected crises that may arise in our world. But living a Spirit-led life also requires that we do our part not only to protect ourselves, but also to take greater personal responsibility and stewardship for the sustainability of our beautiful Mother Earth.
Mother Earth, Gaia, the Earth Goddess, embodies the interconnected web of life on our planet. Gaia is more than just a planet, she is a self-regulating living organism. She is a complex system, our planetary mother, in which living organisms and the environment interact to maintain conditions suitable for life.
But Gaia is in a survival struggle, besieged by the consequences of human greed and carelessness. The harmony that once defined her intricate ecosystems is now disrupted by deforestation, pollution, and the relentless exploitation of natural resources. Gaia’s resilient spirit bears witness to the consequences of human actions as climate change intensifies, biodiversity declines, and ecosystems teeter on the brink of collapse. The delicate balance she has meticulously maintained for eons is being strained as humanity grapples with the consequences of its own choices.
In recent years, global environmental issues have continued to pose significant challenges:
Climate change: Increasing temperatures, rising sea levels, extreme weather events and disruptions to ecosystems are attributed to human-induced climate change.
Biodiversity loss: The decline in the diversity and abundance of plant and animal species is a result of habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, and other human activities.
Deforestation: Large-scale clearing of forests for agriculture, logging, and urbanization contributes to habitat loss, biodiversity loss, and carbon dioxide emissions.
Air pollution: Emissions from industrial activities, transportation, and other sources contribute to poor air quality, affecting human health and ecosystems.
Water scarcity: Over-exploitation, pollution, and mismanagement of water resources contribute to water scarcity in many regions, affecting both human populations and ecosystems.
Plastic pollution: Improper disposal and accumulation of plastic waste in oceans and terrestrial environments pose a threat to marine life, wildlife, and human health.
Ocean acidification: Increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere lead to higher acidity in the oceans, negatively impacting marine ecosystems, particularly coral reefs and shellfish.
Overfishing: Unsustainable fishing practices, including overfishing and bycatch, threaten marine ecosystems and the livelihoods of fishing communities.
Land degradation: Unsustainable agricultural practices, deforestation and soil erosion contribute to the degradation of arable land, affecting food security and ecosystems.
Waste management: Improper disposal and inadequate recycling of waste contribute to environmental pollution, including soil and water contamination.
These are very real and mostly man-made threats that have impacted communities at home and abroad. It’s important to stay informed about these issues and to support initiatives and policies that address and mitigate these global environmental challenges. The interconnectedness of Mother Earth and her inhabitants demands a collective responsibility to protect the planet and ensure harmonious coexistence for future generations.
While environmentalists warn that we must practice better stewardship of our amazing planet, there are still many in the world who have little concern for preserving the many wonders of our planet. However, Spirit has repeatedly shown me that both our personal destiny and the fate of our communities are inextricably linked to how we care for and protect our environment, especially our immediate surroundings.
To be spiritually aware is also to take positive, uplifting, practical action in the world we share. As we envision a healthier, happier, thriving, peaceful, sustainable planet, let us also take real action in our communities to manifest the change we seek. Taking better care of the Earth is not only a collective responsibility, as individual actions can have a significant impact. By doing something as simple as planting a tree, we become New Earth superheroes by increasing oxygen levels, cleaning the air, and winning a small victory against climate change. By choosing to live more sustainably on an individual level, we invest in our well-being and collectively transform the health of our entire planet.
Just as our spirituality must be consistent with faith, love, and compassion, the “three Rs” of conservation — reduce, reuse, and recycle — should serve as a personal starting point for protecting our environment and ensuring the sustainability of the future New Earth. By actively educating ourselves and others, adopting sustainable lifestyle practices, participating in clean-up campaigns, and supporting local political activism, each of us can contribute to the well-being of our planet. The truth is, no spiritual practice or conscious lifestyle routine is complete without the three R’s!
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed by the scale of global environmental challenges. But small actions can collectively make a significant impact. From reducing single-use plastics to adopting sustainable consumption habits, every decision you make individually contributes to a more sustainable world. Start making eco-friendly choices in your daily life today.
Here are ten things you can do to contribute to environmental well-being and ensure a sustainable New Earth:
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
Minimize waste by adopting the “three Rs”: reduce consumption, reuse items when possible, and recycle materials such as paper, glass, and plastic.
CONSERVE WATER
Use water efficiently by fixing leaks, turning off faucets when not in use, and considering water-efficient appliances. Be aware of water use in daily activities.
ENERGY CONSERVATION
Conserve energy by using energy-efficient appliances, turning off lights and electronics when not in use, and considering renewable energy sources.
SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION
Choose green transportation options such as walking, biking, carpooling, or using public transportation. Consider electric or fuel-efficient vehicles when possible.
GREEN LANDSCAPING
Contribute to reforestation efforts by planting trees. Practice green landscaping by using native plants that require less water and maintenance.
LIMIT SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
Reduce reliance on single-use plastics by using reusable bags, bottles and containers. Choose products with minimal or biodegradable packaging.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS
Choose products made from sustainable materials and support companies committed to environmentally responsible practices. Consider the environmental impact of your purchases.
EDUCATE YOURSELF
Stay informed about environmental problems and solutions. Share your knowledge with friends and family to raise awareness and inspire collective action.
CLEAN UP INITIATIVES
Join or organize community cleanups to remove trash and pollutants from the local environment. Contribute to the cleanliness of parks, beaches, and other public spaces.
ADVOCATE
Support and advocate for policies that promote environmental stewardship. Engage with local officials and participate in community initiatives that focus on sustainability. Vote for political candidates who are environmentally conscious and have sustainability plans and policies.
As we envision a more sustainable and harmonious world, let us align our spiritual work with tangible action in our communities. Whether facing personal challenges or environmental threats, the combination of spiritual awareness and physical effort empowers us to manifest positive change. Through this integrated approach, we can navigate the cosmic shift, embrace the energies of the New Earth, and actively contribute to creating a better world for ourselves and future generations.
As I write this, I am consciously aware of people adn animals around the world who are suffering today in the aftermath of a natural disaster or extreme weather event. This is my prayer for all of us:
Divine Presence in the Universe,
Guide and protect us in the face of the environmental challenges facing our world. Extend your wisdom and calming influence to the winds that carry both the whispers of change and the storms of upheaval.
Grant higher intelligence and insight to our leaders, decision-makers, investors, urban planners, engineers, and environmentalists as they shape the landscapes and sustainability practices of our communities. Infuse their minds with wisdom to design and build a New Earth society that prioritizes safety, resilience, and harmony with the natural world.
May the New Earth become a sanctuary of compassion that fosters coexistence among all living beings. Empower us to be vigilant stewards of the Earth, our Mother Gaia, recognizing our shared responsibility to address these environmental concerns. Guide us toward sustainable practices that preserve the delicate balance of our ecosystems and protect the planet for future generations.
And so it is, in love and light. Amen.
